AFC Sudbury have signed Jack Wilkinson from Haverhill Rovers, ahead of AFC's clash with Witham which has moved to tomorrow.
Wilkinson, who is the club’s third highest scorer this season, signed a contract with the club at the beginning of the season following his release from Needham Market.
He leaves for the Ryman League North outfit as Rovers are fading away from their promotion hopes in the Thurlow Nunn league.
Haverhill Rovers chairman Ali Shulver said: “The club has made the tough decision to allow Jack to move to AFC Sudbury.
“After our recent poor form we believe we are no longer in a position to challenge for promotion and are now in the process of planning for next season.
“Jack is a young lad with a fantastic attitude and he is a talented player who has a desire to play at the higher level and we do not want to stand in his way.
“I would like to thank Jack and his family for their commitment towards Haverhill Rovers as I know they like the club and would have loved for Jack to be playing Ryman League football here next season.”
